What time?
Registration will open at 7.00am on the day in the sports hall. The first riders will depart at 8.30am.
How long?
The Rattler consists of two routes. One 47 mile route, and one 79 mile route.
What can I expect from the routes?
The New Forest offers some great cycling and some spectacular scenery. Our routes have a mixture of terrain. There are sections with long fast straights that are truly exhilarating, some punchy hills, and also some longer gradual climbs. The maximum gradient is at Blissford hill near the end of the route where you will encounter a 25% climb. This is a short sharp climb that looks like a wall as you approach it.
The routes have been designed to encounter as little traffic as possible, and there are minimal miles on bigger roads. In places the routes narrow to single lanes and extra care will need to be taken on these sections. Overall both of the Rattler courses are quick and zippy and riders can expect to achieve a good time for the amount of miles covered - provided you put the right amount of training in.
How much?
£23
What do I get for my money?

Event photography
We are very fortunate to have an experienced sportive photographer, George Burgess, available to take shots of each rider en route. Photos will be available to purchase soon after the event and will be displayed on the Rattler website. To see examples of George's photography please visit his website.
I'm travelling from far away and need accommodation
If you are travelling from far away to take part in the Rattler then you will probably be looking for accommodation. There are some lovely hotels and B&B's in the area and we recommend that you visit either the New Forest Tourism or i-know Hampshire for further information.
We are also offering a limited numbezr of camping places at the event HQ at a rate of £12 per person. Places are limited so if you are interested then please book soon. Full details of how to book are available when you register for the event.
Bring the family along too!
Moyles Court School is based in a very picturesque part of the New Forest National Park, so if riders would like to bring family and friends along then we whole heartedly encourage this. There are some excellent walks on the doorstep of the school and lots of places to set up a picnic etc. There will be a BBQ available throughout the day and New Forest Ice Cream will also be on sale.
